⚙️ The admin panel for Etherpad is accessible at "http://umbrel.local:9002/admin/". You can find your unique credentials by right-clicking on the Etherpad app icon on the umbrelOS homescreen and selecting "Show default credentials".
📝 Etherpad is an open-source, web-based collaborative real-time editor that enables multiple users to simultaneously edit a document from different locations. ⚠️ Abiword has been replaced with LibreOffice for document import/export. If you were using Abiword for DOCX/ODT/PDF conversion, you will need to update your settings to point to your LibreOffice binary.
This release includes various enhancements and fixes:
- Accessibility improvements including corrected dialog semantics, better focus management, missing icon labels, and correct language attribute on pages
- Chat icon now works correctly again, disabled toggles render properly, and username layout no longer overflows
- Revision-specific exports via
/export/etherpadnow return the correct revision instead of always returning the latest - Undo and redo now scrolls the viewport to follow the caret so reverted edits stay in view
- Page Down and Page Up now scroll by viewport height instead of a fixed line count
- Typing continues in the document after changing a toolbar select instead of falling through to the toolbar
- Admin UI translations are restored on the
/adminpage - Non-breaking spaces are now preserved correctly
- Browser locale is now auto-detected instead of being hardcoded to English

- Added line numbers to the timeslider so you can follow specific lines while replaying a pad's history
- Added a playback speed setting to the timeslider for faster or slower history scrubbing
- Pad creators now seed the default settings for new pads, giving them more control over initial configuration
- Cookie names are now configurable via a prefix setting, useful when running multiple Etherpads on the same domain
- Database drivers are now bundled again, so fresh installs can connect to Postgres and other databases out of the box
- Pending edits are now flushed immediately after reconnecting instead of being silently dropped
- Large pastes no longer get rejected — the maximum message size has been raised to 10 MB
- Numerous list-related fixes including correct indentation, preserved numbering, and proper formatting across bullet and numbered lists
- Bold and other text formatting is now retained after copy-paste
- Fixed an issue where dead-key or compose-key input would eat the preceding space
- Accessibility improvements including keyboard trap fixes and better screen reader support
